We are a family

Since 1973, Cahaba Valley Church has been a family, made up of people seeking together for God's will. On Jan. 8, 2012, we held our final Sunday morning service and on Feb. 7, 2012, the property was sold to the Birmingham Chinese Christian Church.

Using proceeds from that sale, Cahaba Valley Church continues to support two missionaries in Mexico during the rest of their lives. We divided the remainder among other organizations that have been our partners over the years, including Cahaba Valley Health Care, Greater Birmingham Ministries and Health Talents International.

We never had all the answers, but we welcomed the chance to share our journey with so many people. We celebrate the opportunities we have had to "welcome one another the way Jesus Christ has welcomed us"  and the relationships created by God between people who might never have expected to know each other.
